Adventure on the edge of the Rocky Mountains

Adventure everyday

Colorado was made to explore. From the breathless view at the summit of Mount Elbert to the meandering bends of the Arikaree River, there is an endless diversity of landscapes on display.  Elk bugles echo across valleys where aspens in the foothills above shimmer their fleeting Autumn gold. The history of conquest lives on in the San Luis Valley where highways trace the route of The Old Spanish Trail to Santa Fe. Mountain bike tires roll through the same ruts laid down by the wagons of pioneers over a century ago on the Eastern Plains and generous sunshine ripens grapes on the vines for flavorful Western Slope wines. But adventure is not always found out in the wilds. Colorado is lucky to be filled with out-of-the-way restaurants, unique venues, and other hidden treasures that don't require a pair of hiking boots to explore. From Denver to Durango, Peak and Plain (P&P) will grab some of the best adventures the state has to offer and help you create adventures of your own. Get out there and enjoy!
